KEWAUNEE – During its May 13 meeting, the city of Kewaunee Common Council had hoped to interview candidates for replacement of an alderman in District 4.
However, City Administrator Heath Eddy said that no candidates had come forward.
“So what we can do is just leave it open, and then when we get somebody in, we can bring them to council for discussion and acceptance or whatever… When somebody actually comes in or reposting, extending the deadline,” Eddy said.
During the April 16 reorganizational meeting, the council authorized the vacancy posting, due to the results of the spring election.
The seat was posted with a May 10 deadline.
The fourth district includes the city’s Wards 5 and 6.
“If interested, please submit your letter of interest and brief resume to the Kewaunee Municipal Building located at 401 Fifth Street,” a city Facebook posting stated.
“Anyone applying must live in the Fourth Aldermanic District.”
For more information, contact Eddy at (920) 388-5000 or heddy@cityofkewauneewi.gov.
The term for the seat ends on April 20, 2026.
