At what age did you start playing your sport?
I started playing football when I was 10 in fifth grade. I started running track when I was 17 my junior year.
How has balancing academics been different from your senior year until now?
Balancing my academics and sports became difficult during my junior year because I started taking early college classes through the UWGB Rising Phoenix program. These classes really made me realize that I need to manage my time better and use any chance I could to work on school work.
What is your favorite part about the sport and why have you stuck with it for so long?
Is there a professional or collegiate athlete you look up to?
Shedeur Sanders.
What is the most challenging part of being a student-athlete?
The most challenging part was balancing everything and making sure I had enough time to get stuff done, whether that be schoolwork, practice, weightlifting or work.
What is the most rewarding part of being a student-athlete?
One of the most rewarding parts of being a student-athlete was developing very good time management skills that have allowed me to maintain a 4.0 GPA throughout high school.
What has been your most memorable experience in high school sports so far?
My most memorable experience in high school sports was playing in level four playoffs against Darlington my junior year.
Any hobbies outside of sports?
Top three songs on your workout playlist?
“One” by Metallica, “Man in the box” by Alice in Chains and “Vent” by Baby Keem.
Favorite pre-workout meal?
Chicken, rice, an egg, fruit and milk.
What are your plans for the future?
I plan to go to UW-Milwaukee for my bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. After that I would like to travel around the world.
