Three Kewaunee juniors — Breanna Riha in softball, Brett Paulsen in baseball and Evan Maccaux in golf — swept the recently-announced Packerland Conference Player of the Year honors.
Riha, Algoma junior pitcher Macie Zimmerman, Southern Door senior utility player Ashlyn Delfosse and Peshtigo junior infielder Nevaeh Russell were all unanimous first-team All-Packerland selections. Riha also pitched, but earned the honors as a powerful-hitting infielder.
Algoma senior catcher Nora Krause and sophomore infielder Natalie Ray were also first-teamers, as was Kewaunee junior Vivian Bootz and senior Lexie Hanrahan, both chosen as outfielders.
Second-team selections included Kewaunee sophomores Ali Repitz (pitcher) and London Karnopp (catcher), and Algoma infielders Brooke Mattson (senior) and Jadyn Nellis (junior).
Paulsen and junior teammate Alec Carlson (outfield) were both unanimous selections on the baseball side. Storm freshman Diesel Bosdeck was a first-team infielder, and Algoma senior Carson Leist chosen as the top utility player.
Second-teamers included Algoma sophomore Charlie Prokash (pitcher) and infielders Chase Romdenne (senior) and Braeden Leist (junior), along with Kewaunee’s Brady Pribek (junior infielder).
