Weather Warm-Ups

Posted

KEWAUNEE – The ninth annual Weather Warm-Ups collection is under way. The collection benefits Kewaunee County youth who are in need of new or gently used sweatshirts and hoodies. All sizes are welcome, ranging from 4T to adult.

The clothing collected will be distributed during the Kewaunee County Back-To-School Program, which helps provide necessary school supplies for approximately 300 children each year.

The collection will take place from March 8-22. Collection boxes can be found at the following locations: Piggly Wiggly (Kewaunee), Denny’s SuperValu (Algoma) and Stodola’s IGA (Luxemburg).

Donations are greatly appreciated by many Kewaunee County youth to help them stay warm in the cold months of winter.

About the Weather Warm-Ups

The Cullens’ eldest son James launched the first Weather Warm-Ups drive during the 2016 holiday season and he and his brothers Christopher and Cameron have held the drive annually since.

Now that the brothers have graduated high school, their parents Jenny and Josh Cullen are continuing to hold the clothing drive to provide for local youth in need.
